Are Americans aware of the Psychopathology of War... It is said that WWII was a result of derangement of human brains caused by the WWI. And the People of the Globe are mentally yet to recover from the Imapact of WWII. Given the fact that War has never actually stopped since the WWII in greater part of the globe we are getting sicker each day. It is not just the enemies of the US but the public of US as well which is anti-life and sanity at a deeper level.

What is the way towards sanity and healing?

WWI is the bench mark because humanity had not seen death at such a scale before this... Of course colonialism was even more inhuman but it was limited to people directly involved. The impact was not universal and sudden but long drawn slow... or am i wrong?

The world has been at war in one way or another since the dawn of civilization. Now that our weapons are bigger, and communication brings news to our desktops within minutes, we are much more aware of what's happening. That's all.

Wars are started by fools who want domination or control of others. 99% of humanity is pulled into battle to stop the 1% of homicidal maniacs that just happen to run this country or that.

If you believe that the vast majority of Americans, or Germans, or Muslims, or Afghans, or Iranians, etc., want to start wars and kill others rather than just living their lives quietly, then you are one of the 1%.

Carlos Santayana said that "those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it." So far, most of the war mongers seem to have no memory of history.

I'm sorry. I know you mean well, but this perpetual need society has today to put a psychological tag on everything is...well...crazy! Somehow the academics feel that if they can just put a name to something, they can fix it. It's an exercise in futility and accomplishes nothing.

Just had to vent. I'm a sufferer of "Intermittent Explosive Disorder"...a newly named psychologic term coined for people who get angry quickly over inconsequential stuff (Look it up...it's true).

Name a time in human history when there wasn't war???

Sad but true unfortunately.

If only 2 people were alive they would fight if they weren't dependent on each other for survival.

Hopefully someday we'll get passed this and develop into what we are supposed to.

what mpltmiller said goes double for me...

dude, war has been going on since man learned how to make a weapon, or hurt someone to steal their fruit. It has existed and it always will. And it is not necessarily a bad thing.

Some yes, others no. You can't generalize the entire American population. It depends on what city we're from, how much we're exposed to media, education, money or if we're just trying to get by on survival skills.

the first step lies in getting people like you out of the way who try to influence the masses into believing society is against itself. people like you are the only enemy. why don't you go to your own country and try preaching to people as narrow minded as yourself. we don't like people like you. you obviously don't understand americans or our country in the least so please don't comment further.
