I am a Christian. I was raised in a Christian home and I attend a Christian college. However, lately I have been doubting some things about Christianity...some things just don't sit right with me. From what I have seen/heard about Islam, I would like to know more about it. Does anyone have any good information/websites/etc. for me?

A good site is al-islam.org.

The beauty about Christianity is that it inherently has ISLAMIC messages within it. For example, all Christians firmly believe in the TEN COMMANDMENTS. The first of these commandments is :Hear O Israel the LORD IS ONE! Not three in one or man-god or trinitarian God. If it was so critical that the salvation of the entire mankind would depend on people accepting or not accepting Jesus as their savior, and if Jesus was Man-God on earth (as all pagan traditions have man-gods galore), then the Lord Most High would have made the first commandment perhaps read something like this: Here O Israel the Lord is ONE, whose Son Shall Come and YOU shall believe in HIM!!

Not only does the first commandment not say that, but the second commandment is even more profound. YOU SHALL NOT PUT OTHER GODS BEFORE ME!! Now we all know that the Lord Almighty is the Alpha and the Omega.. no beginning and no end, so how can anyone in good conscience replace the Alpha and the Omega with a man who lasted 32 or 33 years on this Earth, who was born and who died be that God? How can anyone in good conscience put a human in front of the JEALOUS GOD? In contrast Jesus said many will come to me saying LORD LORD, but I will tell them get away from me. I DO NOT KNOW YOU!! (Matt 7:21,22 &23).

Last point to be made is, believing in Christianity actually insults the TRUE LORD and says that a "false prophet" (sic), an ordinary human being like our Prophet Mohammad, could not only establish his will on God's earth, but could force his entire nation, all Arabs, to not only accept the great ones of Israel as their leaders, but also turn other nations to the great ones of Israel and the God of Israel at great expense in money and lives to their own people, while completely sacrificing their religion for this new religion. Thanks to our Prophet Mohammad, the names of Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon and Jesus travelled far and wide and are household names for 1.2 billion people across centuries, across continents.

It is even sillier to say that Satan was given dominion on earth so the Lord can give dominion to a "false Prophet" too, as Satan does not turn people to the good ones of Israel, nor does Satan etablish the worship of the ONE GOD among the pagans. If our Prophet was god forbid an agent of Satan, why would he toil to eradicate the religion of his ancestors which was already mislead and was Satanic. If the Arabs were Christian, then you could say see, he lead them astray. But the Arabs did not know Christ or Moses or monotheism. Why would Satan turn pagans, who are already in his pocket to be turned in favor of the ONE TRUE GOD. If you stand back, you can see how reality is distorted so completely.

People say that he took the message of Judaism or Christianity and used it for personal gain. Again a silly comment. If a man does not depend on God, he would depend on his fellow supporters, his own nation, relatives, resources. In contrast our Prophet completely turned on his own relatives. In the very first battle his own uncle was killed and seventy of his former relatives/friends/tribesmen fell!! Either he valued Judaism's message or did not. If he did not value it, why would he choose it? If he valued and adopted it, what is so wrong with that? Why would Satan adopt Judaism and the names of the Great ones of Israel for his own? Satan would in all likelihood like to destroy the names, would like them forgotten or replaced, not remembered. These men struggled with all they got to establish monotheism on Earth, why would a Satanic Prophet fight to keep their names alive? People may not know this, but in formal settings we can not take the names of the great ones of Israel without blessing them and calling them by their beautiful titles!! Why would a false prophet replace his own ancestors with men from another nation, a rival nation? These are points to ponder for any thinking man who eschews prejudice and looks at issues objectively.

I hope any open minded person would see that our Prophet's mission was an impossible one if he did not have the support of God. Look at Bush and Sharon, they can not even turn the wills of Iraqis, Palestinians or Afghans who are in dire shape financially or militarily in comparison to the power and might of the United States. Howcome one man, our Prophet could turn the ancestors of these very same people so quickly so many centuries ago, that our modern day weapons and propaganda tools, tv and media can not do? If it was his single sword and fear that turned them, then why are so many converting to Islam today?. What could USSR accomplish with its nukes? Any intelligent person understands that force does not work in the matters of the heart.

I hope I am helping you in the right direction. May God bless you in your pursuit. Peace.

Hi Smart Person,

I would like to know specifically what your doubts about Christianity have been, what things just don't sit right with you. It may not be so much that you have your doubts about true Christianity, but have been under some wrong teachers. In that case, there would be many things that wouldn't sit right with you. I've been there - but I have learned to put God's Word first, and see each preacher, teacher, etc. as human. If they say what lines up with the Word, fine; if they say something wrong I note that. If they say too many wrong things, I get the heck away from them! You can contact me at mashiah48901@yahoo.com if you'd like to unload, or ask questions. I'd be glad to help.

You are most welcome.
I think that you have to read more about ISLAM before converting to or testing it. There is a very good website for you:
http://www.harunyahya.com

As you will be TESTING Islam, I think that in any case, you will not be a muslim at that time, so you would have a chance to leave the ISLAM but I am sure that this will not happen, bcz when you will know more about Islam, you will surely accept it, INSHALLAH.
Please don't forget to visit the website which I mentioned above.

God may bless you!

Hey, I agree with NQV's point! Anyway since you ask for links, I think you'll find a lot more if you search for it in Google or any other search engines yourself. :D

Here's some link about Islam that you might found helpful :3
http://www.islamicfinder.org/
http://www.islam-guide.com/

*Actually there's a lot more but I can't find any info about the owner of the websites and I'm quite strict about this... Oh by the way, I'm checking only about 5 websites on this, I think this is probably too much anyway. Better finish a few links first. ^_^

Oh and here's the last one. Previous question in Yahoo! Answer that ask quite the same thing:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Al5iql1DAbe8Oe4Op7hON_Psy6IX?qid=20060616024146AAGMb7I

There's a lot of links provided in the answer to that question ^_^

Good luck!

Allahu Akbar For the same reasons I turned to Islam. I'm sorry however that I cannot provide a good site. You might do better to ask questions at a mosque. And Mr 'whynotaskdon' Allah is God, if you belive in God, he is the same one we worship.

The best for you is to read an english translation of the Quran. Remember whilst you read through it to be truthful to yourself, this text has been 'unchanged' and comes directly from almighty god. May Allah be with you.
