The best is when you have different areas of expertise. My BF and I for example, I'm am way dumber when it comes to computers and not quite at his level in music. But I'ma lot more knowlegeable in political/ social/ cultural areas. We're pretty even in general.

Obviously you have not partnered or been on many team effort positions. I look for the smartest, brightest, most energetic, kindest of all people for partner and teammates. It makes sense that if you have a smart partner that some places in life might be easier not because of the obstacle but because your partner helped you miss it altogether. It also works the other way.

Smarter, always. Dumb is just flat boring. And a truly intelligent lady is never going to put you into the "yes, dear" situation.

Well, it depends. Street smarts or book smarts? I like my partner to be sorta equal but since I'm a guy, I usually tend to do more stupid things than girls. I act dumb sometimes so they can see that I'm not perfect and to make conversation but I am usually more street smart I guess. I can meet people everywhere I go.

Equal. It's so much easier to carry on a decent conversation that way. I wouldn't be able to choose from the other two, to be honest.
