Your best bet for a clear throat would entail drinking water or warm tea. Then again, you can try sucking on a cough drop with menthol which will also open your sinus passages.

if you are singing-- avoid alcohol it inflams the soft tissues around your voice and drink a small amout of olive oil...it has the same anti-inflamitory properties as advil in a weaker form.
