Does it make it ok to continue sin, if you are open about it? Or should you repent from your sins and ask forgivenes?

Thank you for all of you for your answers!
Especially for the ones you really put your thought on.
Gay marriage is debated a lot.
I want to always think what God wants me to do and say, even if it is not popular by many.
All of us are falling short from the God's glory, and we can be saved only because of Jesus's sacrificial death on the cross. He had to be beaten bad for our sins.
I understand the agony gay people have if they want to follow Jesus. We heterosexuals are not perfect either. Our actions do not talk anything good about us all the time. We do not honor our spouses. We get married to men who got us preagnant before marriage, even if we do not love them. God loves everybody, but He hates sin because it separates our heart's from Him.
And God knows our hearts.

God created marriage for man and woman. marriage is the ultimate expression in the flesh of Christ. God created it for love and procreation to be fruitful and multiply. Gay marriage is a sin just like common law marriage is a sin. If God does not author it, it is a sin. All sin is the result of hurt and people must come to Jesus to be healed. God does not change. His Word is established forever.

I'm amazed by people who don't know anything about the bible. They still spout off as if they did. The bible clearly says homosexuality is a sin. Anyone who thinks people are born homosexual needs a dose of reality. That propaganda is just that propaganda. When a person sins we are choosing our way instead of God's way. We are putting ourselves ahead of God. We are loving ourselves more than God. This is true of all sins not just homosexuality. As for those who say "beats me " or "How am I supposed to know", You can know by trying to get to know who God is. When a person loves a spouse or friend or child etc they want to spend time with that person. Why would it be any different with God. If you claim to love him study his word to get to know him better.

God considers same sex marriages an abomination. You will have to read the story about Sodom and Gomorrhah. God is merciful and even gave these cities and opportunity for repentance, but they did not. Repentance keeps you under the protective hedge of God's protection.

I keep seeing that some say God created people gay and that he did not do.....then he would be a liar and a hypocryte.....homosexuality is a choice.....nothing more.....just because one has a preference for the same sex doent mean that God made them that way. This is a good example of one feeling convicted and trying to make it seem right to them.....why would God make one like that ...when He is so clear in His Word that he is repulsed and angered by the very act of it.....

STOP,REPENT,ASK FORGIVENESS;
PEOPLE WANT TO DO THIER OWN THING
Ro 1:26 For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature.
Ro 1:27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.

"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were brought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20.

well, i always thought that bible verse was phrased rather oddly to mean what everyone thinks it means. "cursed be he who lieth with sheep for it is perverse" nice and clear. we all know we're not talking about cuddling. "cursed be he who lieth with another man as though he were a woman for it is an abomination" well thats kinda odd. we all know that lieth means have sex with. so why the "as though he were a woman" part? doesnt that seem strange? so i always thought what that actually meant was that its okay for men to have sex with each other, but its not okay to pretend to be a woman to trick some guy into having sex with you. you cant just surprise someone with that. so maybe god doesnt have a problem with gay men and women. on the other hand, when god was writing the rules, marriage was about the unification of property and money for the purpose of distribution to heirs. so since there wont be blood heirs of a gay marriage, and according to old testament law, no heirs at all of their line (at least for gay men), maybe god would see it as a waste. but as for being open about it making it okay? think of it this way. if some guy was very open about how he has sex with sheep, is that EVER gonna be okay with you?

I don't have a clue what G*d thinks about homosexuality. There are gay animals, so gay people are pretty natural, apparently. Though maybe the homos got to the animal kingdom through the gerbil population - I think I heard that on the net somewhere.

God doesn't approve of gays. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the bible is proof of that. He destroyed them.

If you are open about your sin and continue to do it, you are still sinning. If you repent from you sins and ask for forgiveness, God will grant you forgiveness if you are sincere in your asking. But if you continue it after asking for forgiveness, you are sinning.

I think since God makes some people gay he would like to see them fall in love and be allowed to get married.
