Good question to ask, I often wonder this myself, I see so many young women (girls) wearing the shortest skirts, and open tops that show just about everything, and young men (boy's) wearing pants/shorts that are falling halfway down their butt. My 9yr old thinks it's cool, but he also know that I will never allow him out of the house looking like a slob.

Society says it's ok to dress skimpy and like a slob. Most parents aren't as involved with their kids like they used to be and they either don't realize what their kids are wearing or they think it's ok because other kids are dressing like that. If parent paid more attention and put their foot down their kids wouldn't be dressing like hookers/slobs.

Don McLean said it all, in his song 'American Pie' :
These young 'slobs or sluts' are just samples of 'a generation lost in space, with no time left to start again' !
...With each new generation, comes a new set of identity crises, for which youngsters take the easy way out - by 'protests' such as dressing in ways that prove 'unapprovable' to their elder generations !
Our parents faced such criticisms too - from their elders, who - in turn - had got their share from their parents too !
It is just 'history repeating itself' !

confirmation bias is habitual characteristic of an untrained recommendations, the subject is compounded by the undeniable fact that a lot of falsehood has crept into Islam by fake and fabricated comments wrongly ascribed to the Prophet Pbuh and declared Sahih. for this reason the resultant shaky base wisdom contributes in the direction of fixation on the falsehood or incredibly much less significant component of Deen.

YES, Your right, I can't stand the writing on the butts of the pants or skimpy shorts of little girls. I don't think parents realize that when they buy cloths like this it draws attention to parts of a child's body that people shouldn't be focusing on.
I am old schooled, just my thoughts.

LOL, and my generation wore hip hugger, bell bottomed jeans that were tattered, and my mothers generation's males dressed like greasers!!! I guess it is each generations own little rebellion. Their own way of being different. And like us, when they grow up, they will learn to dress more conservatively. Let's hope they learn to spell, and develope a little respect for other's as well!!!!

Parents are irresponsible. They feel guilty for working so much so they cave in to their kids' whining. MTV teaches kids to be slobs/frat boys/sex maniacs.

It's just the generation. You would probably be a victum of tacky dress as well if you were that age.

because that's what they see on t.v. and mags. they are very impressionable and if they see it so much it seems that nothing is wrong with what they're doing. parents just want their kids outta their hair these days so they don't say anything and don't care
