Oh, good grief! Pray tell (no pun intended) which of the many idiots on TV is saying this? I don't listen to those guys, but they're good for a laugh...or at least I would laugh if so many people didn't hang on their every word and take them seriously.

No, no, no...no race is inherently better than another. You want to know who's NOT going to Heaven (assuming that there is such a thing)? Hate-mongering bigots, that's who!

NOWHERE in Scripture is this viewpoint substantiated. If "there is no difference between Jew and Gentile" (Romans 10:12), who are we Gentiles to distinguish among each other? And don't let anyone mislead you about the curse of Canaan; if blackness were the curse, it would have been Cush. Remember, it was an Ethiopian who becomes a Christian in Acts 8. I don't know what crackpot TV "evangelist" you heard, but that guy is WAY outside the mainstream, even for crackpot TV evangelists.

No true Christian evangelist and no true Christian will ever say such a thing since Jesus came for the whole world. Think about it, why would missionaries go to different nations if this is the belief.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

1) I don't buy it. It would be even dumber to say this than pat robertson saying we should assassinate Hugo Chavez.
2) If a televangelist said this today, it would be ALL OVER the media. We all would have heard about it.

Therefore, I'm fairly certain this question is made up.
That would mean (s)he's just asking to start a fight and upset people. That's quite intolerant, and I won't stand for such a thing.

For that reason, I will not dignify it with a serious answer.

I don't know if they would openly say that now, but I wouldn't be surprised if most believe it. Consider the following facts:

Jerry Falwell banned blacks from joining his fundamentalist christian cult - oops, church - until _1970_. He only let them in because of a lawsuit and court decision forcing him.

Pat Robertson visited South Africa several times in the 1980s and labelled Nelson Mandela and all critics of Apartheid as "communists".

And let's not forget the morons - oops, mormons - who long prevented blacks from joining until recently and _still_ do not have any blacks in high positions of authority.

Oh - don't forget, it was the christian separatist south in the US that permitted slavery while the secular north did not.

I wonder which TV evangelists are saying this. I bet they are Caucasians. :-) Somehow, I don't believe that they get to make the rules as to who gets into heaven or not.

Why can I believe you are watching this TV evangelist.?

Read The Bible. See for yourself. Never take someone's word for anything.

Good Luck.

This is simply another ploy by the Evangelists to not only push their religion and belief on others but to, apparently, give re-birth to discrimination and segregation. Do not believe this as it is not true.

You made that up! The first convert to Christ outside of the Jewish peoples was a black man. I think God planned it that way thinking about how racist the world would become in latter days. Any teaching that separates any man from God based on anything except his faith in Christ is abhorrent.
