I have been extremely stressed for a little over a year now. My words of advice... count your blessings. You have good health, probably a good family. It helps me when I think about how bad really it could be. And how it will help me really appreciate the good things.
When I get really stressed I want to do something good for myself. If I could afford it, I'd get a massage. I also like to do something physical. Maybe shooting hoops or a batting cage, or even just walking in the park. With it being summer time, go sit outside for maybe just 15 minutes. The sun on your face will help a lot. Then give yourself a pedicure, drink a bottle of wine. Or soda...
You'll be okay. But make sure, you don't hold it in. Do something to get it out. Scream, whatever. It's okay. You won't be looked at like a nutcase.

The key for me is diversion. Where possible, I try to remove myself from the stressful situation and go somewhere else for awhile until I can return and better handle the situation.
In my work, I deal with very stress-inducing people at times, as many of them are sick, suffer from severe disabilities and do not understand why government or insurance bureaucracies act like they do. The key to me is to be understanding, empathize, but not sympathize, and simply take steps that are possible for each person and make sure they understand what steps are taken.
In my work, because of the stress level, I take a lot of time off and do some of my work from home. Therefore, I don't feel the "wound up, anxiety feeling" as much.

There is a lot to be stressed out about these days and many of us are feeling it. My only suggestion is don't watch the news. You're just borrowing troubles which, if you think about it, aren't really a part of your life. Which is more detrimental to you? Knowing about Scott and Lacy Peterson or if you had never heard of them. Except for the news their tragedy would not have affected my life at all.

I get REALLY stressed out sometimes. I get so stressed that I want to throw rocks at people.... not really, but I say it and it makes me laugh and I feel better.
Try the driving range, if you golf. I don't golf, but I like to hit golf balls when I'm stressed. It feels good!
Hope you feel better!
oh oh oh, get a massage!!! My gym has them on special on mondays for $40 an hour, sometimes you can find a school that is cheap too!

I recently went through some very serious stress and I found the best thing for me to do is to write it all down. I took up martial arts to help control my anger and get rid of stress.

Just watched T.V., stress adds 34 years to the look of your face and is the number one factor for face age lines. If you can't do anything about the stress problem you are dealing with then leave it ! If you can, do something about it.
Don't allow stress to ruin your health.
Take care of yourself because no one else will.

I read health magezines for women and such and theyre always giving tips about how to be stress free and to maintain a happy environment. you should pick them up and flip thru them. they help. one thing you can do right now is think of happy things. like whats something you have recently done that makes you really happy... and think about that moment. also look in the miror and start to smile. try to laugh even. it will help too. if all else fails... go out to the bar.

I used to get stressed, then I began to see that there is no reason to stress over something such as work or something else that doesn't bring true happiness, we live once and need to make the best out of it, smile and do what you do best :)
