i get really nevous when i talk to women, my whole thought process shuts down, and therefore i sound like a blathering idiot. any adivice?

Women aren't aliens - they are regular people. When you talk to a woman just picture her as a regular person who you want to get to know better as a friend. Maybe you are getting nervous talking to women because you are thinking of them as potential dates. Think of them as potential friends and just be yourself.

Psych yourself up...after all a no isn't the end of the world. The guy who leaves with the most numbers is also the guy that hears the most noes. Get used to rejection and it won't be a problem anymore. They can't all say yes. One thing that helps is to pretend you've known the girl for years and walk up and talk with her on that comfort level. Just start simple, say hi, introduce yourself, compliment her sincerely and listen in to clues as for topics.

You are worried about rejection and too self consious. Think of women as humans...(we fart and poop too). Just relax and be yourself, know in your heart that there are dozens of women that are willing to get to know you.
As a woman, I tell myself I have to kiss alot of frogs before I meet my prince...I think if you change up the words abit, this could apply to you also!

Just remember that they are just like you. Try not to think of them differently. Pretend you are talking to your best friend. Relax, there are many different people in the world. We all have are fears, but don't let them get the best of you.

It's tough. I find it hard cos chicks don't like sports or porno, so we got nothing in common. All that be yourself crap does not work. Pretend your someone else, someone cool and then it'll be easy.
