Because, you buy a hot dog for the meat!!! No one complains if you have a bite and its nothing but meat, but if I'm paying good money for a hot dog, I don't want to take a bite and get nothing but bread.

Hot dogs were first sold by the butcher and priced per pound. Pre-packaged dogs were first sold at 10 per pound (the industry average), while the buns were made in molds that the bakers already had, just happened to be 2 sets of 4 each. You will notice that a number of manufacturers have caught up w/ common sense and sell buns in 10 packs now.

They aren't always. I buy Oscar-Mayer bun length and they're the same size as the bun... others I buy are shorter than the bun, maybe you just have small bread.

i've got been cooking/baking for over 40 5 years and on no account heard of doing all your individual warm canine bun because of the fact ones on the food market (like the Bunny or Millbrook style) are so low value it particularly is pitiful. verify out them, squeeze them and choose the fluffiest. i think the internet might supply you a recipe on account that there are hundreds of recipe web pages available. attempt Martha Stewart's or Crisco or Pillsbury recipe web pages.

They're not, and it's annoying. I hate getting down to the last bite and only getting a mouthful of mustard and bread. Ick.
