try reinstalling it.. if that doesnt work... but the program had worked before... try using system restore to when it did work ( windows xp only)... not working still...try using error fixing programs and also try defragmenting your computer... also it may be your firewall has something to do with it...
anyway hope something works for you... wmp is vital...
