If it's the only option, God allows it. .

If you read the part about Sodom and Gomorra in the bible (around Genesis, I think), Lot and his family left that sinful city.

His daughters thought that all of mankind was destroyed, so they got their father drunk and each one slept with them, in order to keep the human race going. God forgave them for that, because they did this thinking it was the only hope. So I'm sure He definitely didn't have a problem with Adam and Eve

1) Adam & Eve are myths.
2) Assuming Adam & Eve existed, their sons had to get wives from somewhere, as they only had 3 children, all boys.
3) Intra-family marriages were very common and even the norm in early Hebrew society, so that wouldn't be a problem in that context.
4) Adam & Eve are myths.

There are some theories that Adam and Eve were only the first people of the nation of Israel and not the first humans. That would answer your question, but also create some others.

For one, not everyone believes that we came from Adam and Eve. For two, incest ends at your second cousin by law.

Is there a problem with incest in the Bible? After all, Abraham is considered one of the holiest of all men -- but he married his sister.

Incest wasn't the only issue. He also had sex with his slaves and sent his bastard children away to live on their own.

I asked the same question to my priest at 11 years old :)...My answer now is that, well, we didn't all come from Adam and Eve. It's a seriously beautiful story, but no.

According to the bible there were more people around than just adam and eve. Cain got banished to other lands after killing Abel and he met his woman in another land.

Now for the Noah thing, Noahs kids already had wives.

Incest is sexual relations with someone closely related to you...

Since after a while the genes would be watered down, I don't think it would count.
