So many of you out there claim to be this and that..but have you ever really look for God. It is so much easier to blame something or someone for dismissing God. But he is all around you..waiting for you to let him in..open the door.

Okay I am not perfect..hence the question..but I am looking for answers..I am not trying to offend...pardon me. But is there lack of desire to know the True God on His terms..Rejection of God of the bible is not because lack of information.

It is easier to not look and deny that God exists

I'm very very very tired of people who assume that those who do not worship the Christian god have never taken the opportunity to find out what it's all about. Let me tell you, I was raised Christian. I tried for years to understand why so many people appeared to believe so emphatically in something that, though I tried to find it, I just couldn't connect to. As I grew older and my beliefs in what's right and wrong began to be formed by education and observing the world around me, I realized that it wasn't me who couldn't find god, it was god who wasn't available to find. At least, not in the sense that the Christians portrayed the Ultimate Deity. I researched many religions, including Judaism, thinking that perhaps the original religion might have more of a connection for me than the offshoot. Big mistake, as there was still nothing there for me. I kept on searching until I found the religion that fit me like a nice, soft glove that's custom made just for me. I have a spiritual connection now that I was never able to find in Christianity or Judaism, simply because I couldn't condone many of the practices that I saw going on all around me or many of the things that were being taught.

I had to shut that door because it remained open too long and there were big, huge cobwebs growing all over it. It needed a good cleaning, a little oil on the wood to refresh it, some polishing of that pretty brass knob, and then a good, firm closing, so that I could open it to something that really did mean something to me.

So, please, don't assume that those who are not Christians don't know what it's all about, have never given it a try, and are ignorant. If you do, you are the ignorant one.

This 'blaming' attitude would vanish only when a person starts looking inwards, and then as you said the doors will open eventually for the Great God to appear. He is already within and waiting for YOU to see Him !

How can you assume to know what is in the heart of another?
Just because someone is not Christian does not mean they think they will not be held accountable for their actions. Ever heard of karma?
You are correct in saying God is all around me. I revel in Her beauty every day.

If there is a God, I don't think He would like to see us wasting the lives He gave us looking for fantasy things. He's there or He's not, believe what you like but just live your life!

Ally, you answered this question beautifully. I was going to relate my experiences but they are very similar to yours.

Or...maybe we did open the door, and no one was there...
