What God have you been praying to? Good for you though for exploring other faiths! There is more than one way to enlightenment!

Like the first person said, look it up in the Bible. If you believe that the Bible is truth, then there is no question about the fact that it is a sin. It's up to you whether you want to believe it or not. I believe it is a sin, because I'm a Christian. Others who are not Christian will obviously not see it as a sin because most non-Christians DO worship a different god, or none at all.

I am baffled by your question.

If you believe in the God of the Bible, why would you pray to a different God? If you don't believe in the God of the Bible why would you worry it might be a sin?

I would say you are spiritually adrift and need to set your anchor somewhere. As a Christian, I would suggest that be in God through Christ, but it is entirely your choice.

Well, speaking for christianity, which god were you praying to? if it was one of the polytheistic gods then, literaly you are breaking the law of the Bible. However, you could see the god you are praying to as simply a reflection of the Christian God.

In the end, however, you have to believe what you want to.

Most christians (including me) at one point or another "worship" another God in their lives. Anything that keeps you from worshipping your God with your whole Soul, Strength and mind is an idol. Sadly most of them think, the only way to break the first commandment is to pray to an idol. Just pray for forgiveness to God, the fact that you are worried indicates the Holy Spirit is convicting you of sin, and our God is merciful to forgive you....

No man can prove your belief wrong any sooner than they can prove theirs right, therefor no one can really give you a factual answer to your question, everything would be conjecture.

Is it a sin to someones religion? Sure. Are portions, or the entirety of, their religions sins to someone elses religion? You betchya.
So why are they any more or less in a position to define who is sinning and who is not?

Someone once said something along the lines of: God created man in His image, and man, being the hell of a guy that he was, returned the favor. This is true in every religion, so either god is quite the Sybil, or we have defined religions as WE see fit.

What matters is what is inside you, not how it gets there.

All so-called Gods are the same. Religion is all man-made. As long as you are comfortable with your prayers it doesn't matter whom you pray to.

It means you have been praying to NOTHING. There is no other God.

that all depends, if you call yourself a Christian, Muslim, or Hebrew then yes it is, if you don't then you probably better hope that the god you have been praying to is a bit more omnipotent then he is
