You can create a base ment sort type thing in the sims 2. You just lower the terain under the house so that it is level. (You can only do this if you have a foundation.) Then you put a staircase in. But it takes forever to lower all that terain low enough to put a staircase in. I know some of you are probobly thinking I'm nuts, but for the some who do understand, is there a cheat code that lowers the terrain for you so you don't have to spend an hour lowering terrain? ( once you lower it, you put tile or wood or carpet or something in, and then you furnish it.)

I need to know a cheat code that lets me lower a lot of square feet at one time, maybe.

first try lowering the the terrain by 12 clicks, then flatten it. after that, build a foundation all around the lowered part on all 4 sides of the basement. then start building a house on top of the foundation, and take off some floor to put in your stairs leading to the basement. if u did everything right, u should not have any problems putting the staircases. if u cannont put staircases, just put connecting stairs.

Maybe this cheat would work?

boolprop constrainFloorElevation [true/false] - Use 'false' to make it possible to raise or lower the floor even when there are objects, flooring or walls on it.

well you get to the build button and you choose terrain and then you put the terrain in and you try to put the floor in after that your good to go.

I don't think there is a cheat code, unfortunately.
