Don't do it. She's not that important if she wants to change you. Just leave her alone. You can find someone who will like you for you. Good Luck =)

how about this, tell Tubby that she needs to quit pounding the twinkies and lose some weight. you're only 13, right? well, that most likely means she's around the same age...and no 13 year old girl should weigh 168 lbs unless she's a 6'5" tall amazon woman.

so...how about you go after the skinnier girls. we don't need another case of childhood obesity in your gaining 40 lbs to match Porky, whose parents should forbid her from cleaning out the buffet from now on.

Don't do it. You are too young. Gaining 40 lbs is very unhealthy. You might even develop Diabetes or end up on blood pressure pills because of your increased weight. She is not worth it. If your friend REALLY liked and respected you, she wouldn't care how much you weigh.
I think this is a case of "misery loves company".

If this "chubby girl" wants you to gain 40 pounds before she dates you, she's trying to make a fool out of you and drag you down in her hell because she's too damn lazy to get out of her own. As one man to another, or as one grown man to a kid with relatively no dating experience, get away from that setup. There's PLENTY of females out there in the world who will gladly make a fool out of you without having such a detrimental effect on your health. And then there are some females out there who might actually be decent and respectable, and like you for who and what you are. God Bless you, young man.

(You are sooooo lucky to have this problem. I would love to be in your shoes.)

Seriously, though, "no". Drop it. If you damage your organs now (i.e., your heart and arteries), you'll live - or not live - with it for the rest of your life. The only healthy way I would even think of would be lifting weights, however, you are too young to begin this. You can damage your body at this young age. Gaining this much weight in such a short time at such a young age for this reason is not healthy at all. Think twice about this.

I just read a question from a girl that wanted to LOSE 40 pounds. E-mail her and set up an exchange or something.

Oh my goodness, no! Please, don't do that to yourself! I beg you. Once you and the girl break up, you'll have to live with yourself. No one should be overweight in order to go out with someone. You can tell that she doesn't really like you since she'd want to put you through the misery of gaining fat on an already normal body. She probably feels bad about herself. Misery loves company. Don't be serious about her; whatever her problems are, she'll throw them on you.

Don't fall for that. If you gain the weight she will find something else wrong with you. Tell her to lose 40 pounds so you can be proud to be her date.

Dude, don't EVER change your physical appearance for anyone. If you're not happy with yourself, talk to your parents or someone older you can trust. If you like her fine, but don't feel like you have to get fat just to please a girl. There's plenty of fish in the sea, as they say, and you have your whole life ahead of you. Try going after girls who you don't have to change for. Just be yourself and when the right person likes you for it, she'll make it clear to you. Good luck!
