Bible translation is arduous work, with teams of scholars working many years to make the translation a reality. In order to translate, scholars must examine and compare various manuscripts as well as material outside of the Bible that is continually being discovered and translated --one of these finds may shed light on verses that have not been easily understood in the past. The work involved is more difficult than most people would ever imagine, and for this reason, translators, societies or organizations are entitled to protect that hard word through copyright at least for a period of time. Many translations now are in the public domain and you can download them free from the internet. At least for a few years, the work of translators can be protected from others stealing the credit for their work and hopefully some of the profits from the sale of these new translations compensate them somewhat, although I don't think any one gets rich in the Bible translating business!

Bibles are different, not the same (I'm guessing you've never looked at more than one). Different translations mean different copyright terms.
The King James Bible, however, is well out of copyright and therefore is in the public domain. And many Bible companies allow nearly free use of their works for non-profit uses, such as quotes in church newsletters and so on. But Bible companies spend a lot of money on their Bibles, and if someone takes their version and puts out a commercial version (such as an audio version) those companies should have the right to license such a use beforehand.

In absense of any specific author owning the responsibility of creation, how can anyone avail or claim the copyright infringement?
Different publishing houses are monoplising their business, but not what is preached in Bible!
How come the question of thinking by God on this matter, when basically there exist no god and also it at all existing then how come he aware of all such nasty things in the more demanding situations of osamas, tsunamis, kartinas, bush, mayor, iran, iraq, saddam hussain and what not in this materialistic world?
