gradually add small amounts of water evenly through your hair while stroking it with your hand lightly. do not use a brush, because this adds pockets of air between the strands. once the last hair has lined up with the majority, your hair will be almost dripping wet, but your work is not done. now stroke the hair harder with your hand to squeeze the water out without lifting it off your head. once this is done your hair will still be damp, and this is unavoidable. Do not use a hair dryer at any point, or lift your hand off your hair after making contact. The hair is sticky when wet, so only stroke downward and off the end of the tips, then repeat. Last stage drying may be acellerated by being in a warm room, but don't get close to the heater as it will dry your hair beyond normal and it will frizz again.

I h ave naturally curly hair and it always tames down when I use a straightner. I've never had any good luck with a blow dryer. Invest in a straightner-- they save your life.

Buy a Chi (sp) hair straightener, they are a bit pricey, I have seen them for about 100bucks, but if you want perfectly straight hair and no styling products, this is a must have.
