Tolerance levels are a sure measure of cultural richness. whether it be a family, society, organization, institution, village, state or country... And fewer rules, less strictness, milder punishments means clearly good mutual tolerance. This tolerance comes from a deeper understanding of life. It is said that India had a very long tradition of rich spiritual heritage, and spiritual persons are more tolerant for many good fundamental reasons. They are ever ready to get their own religion 'tested' to on-slaughts from any corner. Their confidence about the self-sustaining capability of their religion is limitless. that could be the reason !

Hindus have been one of the most tolerant people on Earth. Hindus believe that there are many ways to the truth, there are many people who can lead man to salvation. However, many Christians(under Europeans) and Muslim invaders have always said that they were right and they destroyed our temples, libraries etc. and turned India into an impoverished country. The greatest thing for a Hindu is that he has the freedom to choose his path to salvation. A Hindu can love Jesus if he wants to, no problem with that. But conversion is a big NO. It's sad that Hindus are becoming more intolerant these days because we have reached the limit of tolerance. The cowardly western media makes fun of Hindu Gods quite often(for example Ganesh with Apu in the simpsons) but are quite afraid to criticize Muslims. A cartoon of the Prophet Muhammed caused worldwide rioting but the same problem was not caused by Hindus when "Bushiva(Bush as Shiva)" was published in the New York Times.

i understand this Indian female from Fiji Islands who's amazingly happy with her switched over Christain faith and obviously seems to frown on Hindus. Her existence type---- Drink , smoke ,play poker and social gathering 3 cases a week. such as her different switched over Fiji Indian acquaintances she at the moment went to work out a male strip instruct. is going to church on Sundays, Congratulations to whoever switched over her and saved her soul! This no longer an attempt to decry Christianity. i understand many very respectable Christians. i'm only putting forward that each and each one which convert are not any more extremely a loss to Hindus.

Indians are tolerant, because they follow a principle of hunduism having its root in universal fraternity known in sansrit as 'vasudaiva kudumbakam'.
As you noted, everyone had made their own part of play to convert Indians to muslim and christan faiths only, but still indianness is acclaimed world over in its santity applicable.

Creator does have ways of sending messages through the chaos of war.
Creator has made reservations on the earth for himself and his people.
