Ok, i gained ALOT of weight in the last year since my Man hasnt wanted me to work anymore. i used to RUNN all day waitressing. i have NEVER excercised, but we moved into condo with small gym and pool. I have been swimming everyday, but wanna attempt the treadmill, and stationary bike. How long on each? Which first? How often? i need a lil regimine to follow. Any advice for beginner?

OK, swimming is terrific. Try doing laps for 15 mins to half an hour, then treadmill/stationary bike for at least 20 minutes each day, five days a week, with rest days in the middle of the week, like Wednesday and Sunday. Work your way up by adding two to three minutes every other day. Good luck! Oh, and by doing low-intensity, high-endurance exercise for twenty minutes or more at least an hour after eating starch or fat burns fat away.

I believe any aerobic exercise is beneficial to your goal of weight loss. Start out with 15 mins and increase gradually. The goal is to always feel challenged without over doing it. I swear...pick up a few issues of Muscle and Fitness and read the woman's section for a couple of months. You will learn a lot.

Treadmill is superior to bike. Run first thing in the morning BEFORE breakfast. Swimming doesn't burn as much fat because the water somehow cools this process.
