There are theories about the pope being used by the devil or the mark on the hand and forehead (the one where you can't buy or sell without it) for eg.

Good question!

Even when Jesus Christ walked on earth (as man) he informed his disciples that ONLY his FATHER will know of the time of his reappearance (his feet will not touch this earth) in the clouds - come to take his redeemed home!

We are also taught in bible not to speculate the time of his coming, even though Christians have speculated on this since Christ returned to heaven).

However, the signs and prophecies as given in bible are fast fulfilled and fulfilling, as we speak. And those of his kingdom people are watching these signs and know as Jesus had told them thus:

"Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh, So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors." (Matthew 24: 32,33)

As to your question of the antichrist, would you believe bible writers had been inspired to write that the spirit of the antichrist (i.e. apostacy and rebellion) had existed right there at the beginning in the early Christian - Universal Church?

Yes, both Paul and John did write on this aspect thus - yet while they were alive:

"Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming."

(2 Tessalonians 5-8: read also verses 3, 4 NJKV)

"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now there are many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time." (1 John 2: 18)

"And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already it is in the world." (1 John 4: 3)

Yes, that same spirit of the antichrist that had existed then will rear it head again at the end times. Friend, believe it or not - we have right now in our midst the nucleus of that great antichrist power lurking in one of the largest Christian Churches of this world - the Mother of ALL Churches!

"And upon her forehead was a name, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abomination of the Earth." (Revelation 17: 5)

There are a great many verses which plainly show that we are going to know the season. Being totally certain of the day is unlikely, but the Bible does contain the information, though few will understand. Jesus does know because he is God, he did not know in the sense of experiencing Judgement day, but he then did in 33 AD. Scripture says God does nothing except he reveal his secret to his servants the prophets. But there are so many verses, as when Jesus admonished by saying you can tell weather it will be fair weather or foul but you don't know the signs of the times.

Sadly most Escatology is corrupted with fabled tales of strange creatures and an anti christ like man. Judgement day is going to happen very very soon. In Isaiah it says that the fear on mens faces will be as when a man sees fire.

I THINK that it will happen before the year 2018. I can't be sure, but that is what I see for now.. The world will not end..The great tribultaion will begin and at the end Jesus will come back to rule for 1000 years.
Anyway the Great Tribulation should start between now and 2018.. Best shot but never a sure thing of putting dates.

The bible doesn't indicate 'when' exactly... But from the time revelations was wrote (Around 2000 years ago, give or take.) it said 'sometime soon.' The only way people could determine when it would come true would be by looking at the signs listed there, and seeing if they've happened or not, but otherwise there's no real way to determine it.

... and the CORRECT answer is ... PERK1977. No one knows - not even the angels - only The Father. So, you have two choices: 1)say "I don't know" (and say nothing), or 2)say "I know", and thereby invalidate the words of the Man you are waiting for.

And, in supporting HIS answer, I get the BEST answer!!!

( lol ).

( a little trivia ... Sir Isaac Newton - perhaps the greatest genius ever born by woman - thought the return would be near the year 2060. But he was far too smart to give any kind of a date. )

Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour no one knows, no, not the angels of Heaven, but only My Father.
Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man.
Mat 24:38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark.
Mat 24:39 And they did not know until the flood came and took them all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Mat 24:40 Then two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:41 Two shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Mat 24:42 Therefore watch; for you do not know what hour your Lord comes.
Mat 24:43 But know this, that if the steward of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be dug through.
Mat 24:44 Therefore you also be ready, for in that hour you think not, the Son of Man comes.
Mat 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord has made ruler over His household, to give them food in due season?
Mat 24:46 Blessed is that servant whom his Lord shall find him doing so when He comes.
Mat 24:47 Truly I say to you that He shall make him ruler over all His goods.
Mat 24:48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delays His coming,
Mat 24:49 and shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken,
Mat 24:50 the Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he does not look for Him, and in an hour which he does not know.
Mat 24:51 And He shall cut him apart and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The world will end when we destroy the earth, the moon disappears or the sun explodes.

The antichrist in the bible was Nero, Rome emperor. That has been proved my bible experts. The 666 was a code used for Rome citizens to represent Nero.

Well according to Revelations he is going to come as a thief in the night and it will happen in the blink of an eye. it cannot be predicted; who are we to try to outwit GOD? the only thing you can know for certain is that when someone says it's going to happen at a certain time.... it's not. :)

ok the bible tells us "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father" Matthew 24:36

If you read Matthew 24/Revelation/Daniel and most of the rest of the bible you will know some of the sings to look for. It is best for people to to get to know what the bible tells us because: "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many."Matthew 24:5.

I am not saying you should not ask/talk to people about stuff like this. I am just saying this people need to read the bible and know why they believe what the believe.

the Bible says that no man knows the day or the hour and also say that he (Jesus)comes quickly. In fact, Jesus, the Son of God doesn't even know the day. Jehovah (YHWH), God the Father, only knows the day. We must all be prepared, for He will return.
