I would like to make a jpeg of one frame of an mpeg I took on my camera. Is there a way to do this? Does it require a special program? I'm running windows xp if that helps.

Good News: Most of the "moviemaker" software products (e.g. WinDVD Creator) will let you grab a frame into a still shot.

Bad News: Most of the video taken by home camcorders or digital cameras is of relatively low resolution, and makes a pretty bad still photo.

If you can, try playing the video on your computer and then try capturing the frame you want by pressing the PrintScreen button on your keyboard. After that, open Microsoft Word or Paint and then right click and paste.
