Yes, needles can damage tissue...but there is a "but" to this haha...they can damage the tissue inside your arm if you are repeatedly pricked by a needle in the same spots over and over again, but other than that shots are normal...but yeah, you feel the pain from the needle because the metal is slicing through your otherwise intact skin and that excites your nerve endings...but you are just feeling a little ill from the medicine that was in the shot I think...just get some rest and drink plenty of fluids and take an Advil or something and you should be fine

Like no, they do not damage you except some shots give you a reaction of soreness that will go away. It is just part of the way the body reacts. The needle is sterilized and is so small that the body quickly recovers and mends over night. The soreness is caused by the vaccine itself. You will be OK and if you ignore it, it will go away faster. I'm not a doctor, but if you see a red streak going up your arm or the pain persist longer than a week, see a doctor. Rev. TomCat

No, shots don't damage your arm either way. Although, when my mom got her smallpox shot, it left a little scar. No, make that a big scar. Maybe you're just having a slight allergic reaction to the shot. And even if you've gotten shots before, people can develop allergies from nowhere. If it causes constant pain or other problems like fever, be sure to see a doctor.

It isn't damaging your arm, just irritating it. Tetanus shots are infamous for causing arm pain for several days after you get them. Don't worry- it will go away. Put some ice on it and take some ibuprofen.
Shots normally don't contain products that will actually "damage" the arm, but they can cause side effects.

A tetanus shot can hurt up to a week. The pain will go away.
Put some ice on the area for faster healing.
It will not damage your muscle.

Is there still a mark where the needle went in (bruise, red bump, etc.)? If so then it may be an infection...go get it checked out.

3 days sounds like a long time for it to hurt...I'd have the doctor look at it if I were you, even if there is no mark.

Depends on what type of shots LOL!
N No, unless you are allergic to some substance in them. I gave blood and was allergic to the swab they used. My arm was itchy and red for weeks. If you have any concerns, try ro ask your doctor

Not the shot, but sometimes whats in it. like the anthrax vaccine is a weakened virus, so when you get it sometimes you get sick for a while
