What is the name of that piece that is used with kids and in college dorms? It's like a chair that folds out into a matress/bed. Made of foam. I can't find it on Target or Wal-Mart but I'm probably not searching under the right name.

No not a futon, this is cheaper than that and made of foam. I heard it's called a sleeper chair. I used to have one when I was little to sleep in my parents' room.

The flip chair/bed. I have seen them at Walmart & Zellers, but I can't find them online. This site below has them, but I would just go to Walmart or call and ask.

The ones made of foam, are usually called "Flip chairs" or "Foam flip chair"... but you can also get a "single" futon... which is a chair, that folds out like a futon... it is, of course heavier built, and more expensive. Ive provided a link to each kind. Good Luck!

Probably a futon. Wal-mart and Target do carry them.

Walmart: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3258374

Target: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_3/602-0454549-9463017?%5Fencoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B0009O1EH0

They are usually found anywhere from $100-$500.

I remember Wal Mart had those last season. Have you tried Overstock.com? I would just try typing in chair and bed and see what happens.

Good Luck!!

Most recently I read a similar question. The asker called it a "Pouffe",,, which I had always known as those old fashioned round sofas found in classical hotel lobbies. I'll say try that.
