I believe that the original bible is inspired from God. this is the original writtings of the Apostles, and other men of God. Old and New testiments.
but I also believe that many translations have been written without Gods backing. I collect bibles and there are many different translations of the same passages. These Bibles may have been written to fool some believers but the bible also tells us to be careful and not believe everything that we are told with out checking up on it first.
Either which way no one should blindly follow any human with out searching in his or her heart and doing research to see if the information is true.

It's not a conspiracy, it is a FACT that the bible has been re-written many times over and over.
People will use circular reasoning to back up their false claim that the bible is genuine

Edit:
Judging from some responses from religious people it would seem that your question is true

Not exactly. But the people who decided which books to include in the Bible had reasons for their choices--and some of the reasons likely were influenced by politics and power.

Yes, the church did re-write the bible and chose the text included from a list of devine writings. They have held convetions for such a purpose. This occured in the Middle Ages, and we don't hear about it beouse the church was in control. (Hide the fact so peopel follow blindly.)

I don't think it was RE-written to control the masses. I think it was written to control the masses.

The caesars claimed to have spoken to the gods. The Japanese Emperors claimed to have spoken to the gods. Greek Kings claim to have spoken to the gods. We don't believe them because they were political leaders.

But Moses was a political leader, too. I find it odd that we are willing to just take the word of a political leader that God came down from the heavens and gave him a set of laws.

No, the Bible that we have now almost exactly, except for some translational errors between Hebrew and English, matches all of the original documents.

it's a roman leader that compiled the bible... choosing what to put in it..... Romans aren't so honorable as to chose the best for the masses....
It use to be a crime to challenge it or read it. It wasn't that long ago since the witch trials. Power not kindness motivates religion.

I don't. Conspiracies only work when you can run them in secret. It is hard for thousands of people to believe BEFORE a Roman leader and have it be the conspiracy of a Roman leader, or any church leader

Yes, written to control the masses and brainwash them. See how great a job it's doing already?
