no it is not tacky...most newlyweds are grateful for whatever kind of cash they recieve. Do what you can afford. In all honesty, it's not how much money you give or spend on a gift, it's the thought inside that counts.

Cash is a fantastic wedding gift, but 25 is a little cheap, you should try and pay for at least what they spent on you to come for the wedding. I would give 50, its a nice sum if you two aren't that close. If it is a close family/friend i would move it up to 100.

No, cash as a wedding gift is not tacky. It all depends on what you want to give as a gift. Whether it be merchandise or cash, the couple to be should appreciate your gift.

I personally do not like giving plain cash because it is very tempting for people to just blow it off instead of spending it wisely. Which is why l prefer giving away gift cards instead of cash. A gift card to their favorite restaurant/store is an excellent choice because this way the couple can buy whatever they need/want.

newlyweds can always use the extra cash. Especially for spending money on the honeymoon. I got cash in almost all my wedding cards. By the time I left my reception I had about $450 just from the $10-$20 in each card. I used it on my honeymoon to buy suveniers.

If that's what you can afford, do it. However, if it were me, I would not give cash unless I was giving $50 bill or more. I'd go for a gift card, or better yet, buy them SOMETHING they might find useful, and they won't know how much you spent!

No. Give what you can afford. If it is a close relative you might want to think of a gift but I think cash is acceptable.

No. It is not tacky. Most couples would prefer money. And $25.00 is appropriate. Just about all my friends gave me $20-$25.00 for my wedding. It's what you can afford.
