Thoroughly unprofessional, in an office setting.
Rather than removing it at work, go find yourself a soft-sided bra, with comfortable straps and no underwire (if that will support your physique). If heat is the ocncern, search for one in a very breathable fabric. Some are so comfortable, the wearer can't even feel them.
Also, review your company's policies for attire. Many companies have written directives for attire--yes--right down to undergarments!
Reserve removing your bra for when you're in the privacy of your own home, or that of loved ones. Spare the folks in the workplace who may be made to feel uncomfortable. If men work in your workplace, your going braless also puts them in an awkward postion.
If you absolutely cannot wait until you get home, then after you are off-duty, go to the ladies room to remove it. Do this, however, only if you wear a jacket or something over yourself so that no one can tell. Please be considerate. That may help you to avoid sexual harrassment accusations.

While some things have changed, the old rules still apply in many cases. The more conservative the company the closer to the rule book you need to dress.
A professional woman will:
Wear a bra.
Will not show cleavage.
Will wear hose
Will not wear sandals
If wearing a skirt or dress, will be proper length
However if you work in a more relaxed environment, and aren't well endowed, you might be able to get by without a bra. However you may wish to wear a jacket so it isn't noticeable.

As long as your nipples aren't sticking out or something, that might make others feel uncomfortable. Although it's probably best to just wait it out until you get home. Try getting a bigger size, it will give you a little more room in there so it bother you less. And try getting cotton bras so the air can go through a little bit easier, I know it can get hot and sweaty in there if it's padded and/or polyester and then it gets uncomfortable after awhile. So find bras that are comfortable enough to wear all day and just wear those to work.

if they are nice breasts id say yes,, but if your gross in any way and the shirt is too see through ,,then your a problem ,,and also maybe the bra isnt fitted right go to a bra fitting show at a good store and spend a little for a few well made ones not flimseys with not support to make you tired ,,also even good breasts to look at will raise a problem as men will look and the women will be hating,, so balance that against the relief and then decide,, unless your setting up a law suit about people seeing or staring

I would wear a more comfy bra- or buy tops that have built-in bras. But I would agree- esp. if you are a B cup or above...in the right shirt that could be a show w/no bra. And if it gets cold or you spill something on your nipple-region...well....then your co-workers will get the full monty. Just loosen the bra to the last hoops in back- ya know.....usually most bras have three hoops..so just make it the biggest maybe that would help.

No one wants to see two bob cats fighting inside your shirt, wear a bra to work, especially if your intermingling with your co workers. Maybe your wearing the wrong type bra that makes you want to take it off. Try a Bali minimizer bra, it won't make you look like an Olga.

If you are a big busted Chickie, I would say it would be a no-no. But if your condition is easily covered, I would not worry about it. We were taught (well some of us) that it would be improper to remove your bra anytime before you walked through the front door. But times have changes and I've been known to have it in my purse when I walk through the door. Do what you are comfortable with. And wear a tshirt under your main shirt, it will conceal a little better.

It depends on how much support you are getting. Some women don't really need bras for support. Others would seriously need them. I'd say, if you can't wear your bra for the whole day because it's so uncomfortable, buy a new bra.

I guess this is another example of the oppression of women by men, but unless your profession is stripper (and according to your question, it isn't), then it is unprofessional to remove your bra during working hours.
Not that the men in your office will complain; they'll just talk about your breasts behind your back, and not take you seriously.
