im a nice guy. i only sometimes finish last. is this just cliche?

Unfortunetly, I think that is a true statement most of the time. I think that women feel it is a lot easier to push nice guys around. Personally, I love nice guys, but I always end up with the not so nice ones. A lot of women are also attracted to the bad boy type, nice guys sometimes aren't as intriquing.

There's nice and there's doormat. I used to have doormat syndrome, age and experience cured that problem. There is a way to balance bad boy with nice guy. Essentially I am a "bad boy" now, it's just who I am, but if a girl breaks barriers, I let them see the sweet side, and tell them how special they are to earn that kind of spot in my life. I'm not being dishonest, they love that they get a special side of me nobody else does, and I'm allowed to be a nice guy to someone who deserves it.

it is a worn out clich that teaches negativity, If you believe you'll finish last, chances are you will. It is our own minds that keep us from doing what we feel we are truely gifted to do...I have seen very popular ugly people because they believed in themselves, and some very unpopular beautiful people who didn't believe in themselves

Unfortunately, there is a lot of truth to that statement. I'm not sure why, but I honestly don't think that it is just a cliche!

in the long run you will come out on top but in the short race it can seem a bit of a downer
keep running the way you want to and doing what feels right for you - sooner or latter you will get a prize!
