To connect:

If your house had one previously, you may have a tube already waiting for you. Just connect it.

If you dont have a tube waiting for you, go to your local hardware store and get a kit for your fridge. It will consist of tubing, and a valve to connect to your water supply. You may also need to drill a hole in your floor or wall to get to the fridge from the area where your water supply is ( usually basement).

To Disconnect

usually, there is a copper or clear plastic tube connected to the back of the refrigerator.

HOWEVER, before you disconnect it, you need to find where it connects to the water supply. Usually, it is in the basement ,and connects directly to a copper or pvc pipe. You need to close the valve on this tube to the fridge BEFORE you disconnect at the fridge.

Good luck

It's all just simple plug in plastic tubing that runs to a water supply pipe like your cold water supply in your sink. Check with your local hardware store, it is really cheap, and get a plug in filter to go with it, there are some nasty things floating around out there these days.

And the tubing will be in the rear after you pull it out a little and can reach behind it. Make sure the water supply is off first. Most newer homes have a valve in the wall that you can turn off like under your sink to your water that supplies the sink.

There will be a small tube or pipe at the back (the outside in back, not inside) of the refrigerator what will need to be hooked up to a water supply. You can buy a kit to do this at almost any appliance or home improvement store.
