Yes, we definitely DO owe them protection! They are Americans living on the American side of the border and they pay taxes and they should not have to live like that - our border patrol and the police should be doing the work that these people are having to do for themselves! And they definitely should NOT have to move to feel safe! I don't have satellite TV, so wasn't able to see what show you were watching, but just what you describe to me is appalling! All of this kind of stuff needs to be gotten out to the general public and everyone should do whatever they can to see that it does. A lot of Americans are complacent while the illegals do not seem to directly affect themselves but we need to pull together and realize that even if it doesn't affect you at this moment, it will eventually, and it will affect your children and grandchildren. It needs to be taken care of now!

That is totally crazy....they need to make a video of it and send it to a major news station and have it broad casted all over the states. I knew things were bad by the border, but I had no idea that it was this extreme. Why aren't border patrol or the national guard doing anything about this??

I believe it. I've lived close to the border. Thank God I don't now and never will again. I moved over a thousand miles away.. but its awful living that close. I feel bad for these folks.. We use to have all kinds of stuff stolen on our street. Cars were a big thing. Mostly new cars.. They even tried to get my motorcycle one night but it was on heavy chains, so they didn't succeed at that. Drugs and gangs everywhere...
Yes, they are Americians and they do need protecting.

I live on the "border line" and I don't own gun because I don't need to. Such hysteria. There is no threat here...Its a peaceful, quite community. Stop believing all the propaganda you read. The sky is not falling chicken little...

That makes me very angry with the total dysfunction and incompetence of our government. An American citizen should NEVER have to live in fear from illegal Mexican criminals committing their legion of crimes as they enter and after they arrive in America. This is an outrage! If I were a member of Congress, I would be ashamed. If I was Bush, I would be afraid someone would kill me because I was a traitor.

No Brainer......of course we do.....
Perhaps I would be a little less "humane" if I faced what they do daily.....I don't know. That is why it is always good to have several different views to a situation.....so you can say that. I don't want everyone "yessing" me.....I enjoy a different view, newspaper article, editorial, website....that makes me LEARN more and understand better.
But being a land/homeowner......I probably would feel EXACTLY as they do......that is why we bought elsewhere........and don't get pissy people.......it wasn't a factor HERE.....but if I was shopping in THAT area.....I would have taken it into consideration.

I have a friend there. She can not even hang her clothes many times because of armed Illegals. She is afraid for her children too. It is a nightmare. And many ignore it in her own town. And she would move if she could.
