Most people in Britain use teabags. They are nearly always black tea. Earl Grey is only drunk by a few people. One teabag person into a teapot plus one extra. Leave to steep for 30 seconds- pour into cups and add sugar and/or milk according to preference. People are quite particular as to the strength of the tea and how much milk is added - very important over here! Some people do use loose tea but a lot of older people prefer this. It is generally much stronger. We have an extremely wide variety of teas here (also many different coffees) - all freely available in supermarkets. Tea is drunk many times a day in many households and it is one of the welcome signs one receives in a household to be invited to have a cup of tea! Very sociable drink here.Coffee is drunk a lot more now than it used to be.

Earl Grey, try Twinings Tea they sell it at some grocery stores, I know Fresh Market sells it, but i actually went to the store in England. Oolong is good, Pekoe is good, all depends on what you like. Usually served with milk and honey. I like it just straight with a little honey but some people use sugar. Take a pot of boiling water and put the teabag in the cup, pour the boiling water over the teabag. Depending on how strong you want it, steep it for 3-5 minutes. I like it strong so i just let it sit there for about 5 min. After that take the teabag out and serve.

Our favorite (man is from England): five black pekoe tea bags in teapot, pour in boiling water, wrap pot in tea cozy (towel will do) and steep for 5 mins. Pour milk in bottom of mug (beakah if you want to say it in English), add what US calls sugar in the raw (small light brown sugar crystals) if you like sugar. Add tea when it's really dark. Quite a caffeine buzz.

depends upon personal preference, but often it's with sugar and milk (not cream-ick!)
Earl Grey is pretty popular, but so is oolong and pekoe.
Brew in the pot: 1 tsp. loose tea per cup of water, plus 1 tsp. loose tea "for the pot." Pour near-boiling water over tea leaves, steep for 3-5 min, depending upon how strong you like it. Add more hot water as needed to keep it from getting too strong.
