No specific cross reaction between smoking and lortab usage.
I think you mean sarcoid. If his sarcoid progresses and it affects the lung, smoking will hasten the demise of his lungs. If one disease is affecting his lungs, smoking will only progress his lung disease and in fact will accelerate it.

Alcohol and Lortab is probably the worst case scenario, or using lortab with other similiar medications. Any medication that makes you drowsy is probably not the right combo. Smoking if anything, will probably either increase or decrease the metabolism which means it will either eliminate it faster, or keep it longer. Not sure which, but you can google search "lortab" and 'smoking" and inducers and inhibitors. I think maybe smoking might be an inhibitors, I'm not sure, if it is, then the drug will stay in the body longer and he can get toxic with the next dose, or the dose after that. Try and do a google search on it. I think the other name for it is "hydrocodone".

I have taken lortab for over 8 years and just recently decided to quit. all of the negative reaction from health care. I do not feel others have the right to judge you. some people will be extremely against smoking no matter what you take. if you can cut down on either Go for it, if not , that is your decision. I am sorry i didn't answer the question but i understand your fear.

I have to disagree with some of the others. There is a HUGE problem with combining these two! Lortab is a narcotic and produces sedation and pain relief. If you are going to smoke when you take these, you run the risk of burning yourself, your clothing, your home, and your family. Sometimes people do things when on Lortab that they don't remember doing and I wouldn't want to have that happen with a cigarette in their hand.

What is socroids?
I know of no danger of combining smoking and Loratab use.
I do it all the time as I am in pain from Fibromyalgia and arthritis.
I unfortunately have not been able to kick the smoking habit yet.
I have been taking Loratab and smoking for over five years and have seen no ill effect of combining the two.
