I noticed a lot of this type of behavior on yahoo answers..When somebody asks an obvious question that may seem easy to us..instead of giving answers many people seem to think it is OK to be rude and mock that person..
I think this is especially sad on sections like the Homework help section..What kind of person likes to belittle a child???

We all had to learn once..and what is simple to us..isn't always to someone else....

Shouldn't this site be encouraging learning and asking questions about things that we don't know the answer too??
Shouldn't we try to help rather than mock???

It can't be right to say that someone is too stupid to learn??

What do you think??

People who do this are not as smart as they think they are. And not nice either.

I think that it's not right to mock people?

However, this being the internet and somewhat anonymous makes people feel like it's ok..Obvious questions should never be mocked..it's not right to be rude to people and mock them..
I would hope that people would think it's not right to mock a child who is working on their homework???

I personally don't mock people...learning isn't easy..for me or anyone else..

I would hope that people are encouraging and would have the decency to not mock people too??
I have been trying to help???

I think people can learn if they set their mind to it??

That's what I think??

I know, i asked a question and i made sure i said no stupid answers or i know this might seem like a stupid question to some people, the whole point of yahoo answers is to help people answer each others questions. Its not to mock people who dont know something......when people give stupid answers i look at their questions and it doesnt show that they are that smart either so they really shouldnt be saying stuff like that about them. They are just putting others down to make themselves feel better. It just causes drama that theres no need for. And you are probally going to get answers like that for this question. Anyway dont let it get to you just report them and move on, hopefully they will get reported enough times to get their account deleted a couple of times and maybe they will realize that they are the unintelligent ones.

Sometimes people will ask a question that they could find out in about 60 seconds if they used the Google or Yahoo search engine.
I'm not saying these people are idiots, but really, use the force.

i think ppl bring ppl down to make themselves feel better. there arent seriously very many exceptionally intelligent people on here. the regular ppl who actually know the answer to say a math problem will be so proud to know that someone was not as intelligent as him/her and will probably mock or insult a the asker to make themselves feel better.

I think people who mock others for not knowing are not very intelligent themselves. Intelligence is not about knowing things. It's about knowing how to use whatever you know. Those people you refer to don't seem to know what to do with what they've got in their grey heads.

u're right... we have some obnoxious people on here, but kids will learn sooner or later that being on the internet looking for answers isn't going to be an easy task, with dumb people on here.

Gracious intelligent people do not do this. I think that you are right and people are probably (unfortunately) going to prove your point in their answers...
