First i want to tell you that i had some accident before and i was died for a few minutes and believe me or not, it was the end of everything it look like when you have a good sleeping without dream. Honestly, all of my life before i believed that when you die you go in heaven with God. But after this experience i search why it was not like i think before and i start to study the bible to understand, i find why when i was died for a few minutes nothing happen in eccl. 9:5, 10 says that is nothing when you die. So it what's happen when you die. But don't worry, Jesus Christ made a promess to everybody that we will resurrect in the new world. Now, i am so happy and i 'm not afraid about die.

I'm sorry that happened and I'm sorry for your loss. Grief when losing someone close is a long process and the questions you have are normal for someone of your situation, in my opinion. People die in high schools all over the country but in a small town it hits particularly hard because they're so close like family. I guess we all have to come up with our own answers to those questions. For me personally I've been strengthened by the deaths of people I've loved to love the people I love more fiercely and fearlessly --to "seize the day" if you've ever seen the movie Dead Poet's Society. It's good for this topic, if you haven't. Another good one is It's a Wonderful Life. I want very much in this next year to live life to the fullest and help people and love people and be a friend and be kind and do what I can to make people feel less alone in this world that is sometimes harsh. That's what I've learned through the pain for myself. You'll find your own answers. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Hang in there.

Only people who harp on and on about hell are the ones who have any chance of getting there. Its as much a sin to do nothing with your life than it is to party regularly, in fact it may be more so.Just because someone goes out and has fun and a few drinks regularly, does not make them a bad person. Judging people for doing this, however, is a bad thing. Did Jesus not say, 'judge not, lest ye be judged'?

I don't see how it matters. If there is no afterlife, then no one will ever know the difference, right? If there is, I would rather be judged as honest with my beliefs than a hypocrite, that's the best I can do. I can't fake belief, or force it, and it seems hypocritical to try to.

What is the purpose of life???? To live it. After that, whatever happens is anyone's guess. The best reason to be good is to do the kindest, most helpful, most considerate things while we're alive. We should do this because we want, from the bottom of our hearts, to make this world a better place, not because we're trying to accumulate points because we're scared shitless about the unknown.

Have you ever thought that Eve actually passed the test that she was given? Perhaps God wants us to choose between blind allegiance and knowledge. Religion is given to us as a test.
When we die, perhaps God judges us -- not on whether or not we believe in Jesus, but on whether or not we chose to gain knowledge. Perhaps he sends all the people who blindly follow religion to hell, and lets all those who sought knowledge into Heaven.
The truth is that if God only lets believers into heaven, then a lot of good men will be in Hell. I cannot honor, love, obey or worship a God who uses the same criteria for sending people to Hell that Hitler used to send people to Auchwitz.
If, on the other hand, God accepts all good men lovingly -- then there is no reason for me to be a Christian -- because it doesn't matter.

You go 'round once and then you die. Even your own Bible tells ya that's it and there's no afterlife. Your challenge is to find the passage that gives that message. Are you afraid to look it up?

You born, you live, then you die. Those are the FACTs of life.
It doesn't matter on what mythology you put your believe in. Once you died, well you are dead, that's all. Just an other atom.
