I have a support our troops magnet and a POW MIA magnet on my car.
Don't know where they were made, but the man who sold it to me was a veteran.
Just bought a yellow ribbon support our troops key chain today for $2.25, the sign on the display said that some of the proceeds are sent to the USO. (which is great, cause they do help out the soldiers and their families)

Is it supporting a high school actor to go to a play if he doesn't recieve any of the proceeds? The important thing is that you're there, cheering him on. It's the same with our troops. Although it seems wrong that a company could make those stickers without sending some of the profits to the military, the important thing is that you're standing behind them, rooting for them, and praying for them, so that every time they come home on leave or see a picture they can see that their work is important and that the people are behind them.

Most Organizations used proceeds for to send phonecards, supplies, etc to troops. I don't really know if them being made in
China is significant, other than the fact that companies should really try to us US manufactures.

why would you buy it if it didnt go to support the troops/ their families...
thats the whole point of it!
Do you know anyone that buys the yellow ribbon without donating money?
Also, i suppose it does anyways... The yellow ribbon is a visual reminder that we know that they are there

Whatever you want to do is fine with everyone else. Yellow ribbons on cars, trees....wrist bands, flags, banners. It doesn't matter.

It is a small price to pay and when they come home and see them or when their loved ones see them they know you are thinking of them. Wouldn't it be cool if every car had one?
