Why did his death give us the ability to repent for our sins? Why does it matter that Jesus died if God is the person who creates life and could make another Jesus if he wanted to this very second? If someone could explain this to me it is a huge issue to me and I have asked lots of people and no one could give me a answer.

The whole issue is summed up in the holiness of God. When I was a child I was taught very strongly something that is rarely taught in church today at all. I was taught that God was holy and He could not be in the presence of evil. That is why we cannot be in fellowship with God, because we are sinners. For us to be with God that sin must be dealt with. God declared to Adam that in the day he sinned he would die. That is a principle of life when we sin we die to God (separated from Him). Paul said it this way in Romans, the wages of sin is death. To overcome sin death must take place. When Jesus came He cam as a perfect man and completely God. When He died because he was perfect He was able to pay for all sins with His death. Now we can be forgiven, not because we are perfect but because the penalty is paid. All God asks of us to obtain forgiveness in faith in what He has done.

This is a deep question and I will try to answer it quickly, but please know this one requires alot of thought.

God is a righteous and just God and He can't accept sin. In order to be true to His own nature, there had to be a sacrifice for the sins committed by man in order for Him to forgive us. The sacrifice had to be worthy of paying for all those sins. Jesus is His only son and lived a perfect life here on earth. Yes, I guess maybe He could have made more, but He chose not to. Who knows why. God is infinitely wiser than us and sometimes you just have to accept that He knows best. Anyway, Jesus is and will always be His only son, and Jesus' s death was the ONLY sacrifice that could pay for our sins. Now that Jesus has died for us, anyone who wants forgiveness can receive it through His blood because God the father has accepted his blood as payment. Am I making sense? I hope so. God bless you.

Virgin Birth - Was it a preconceived notion?

What is the Imacculate Conception?

An Imacculate Deception?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

Jesus? Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

If you swallow this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't.
