It's possible, but you'd have to be on your phone almost every waking moment. There have been a few cases of businessmen who are on the phone all the time getting tumors behind their ears. The lights in a phone emit a small amout of radiation, and that radiation poisoning can build up over time, so pace yourself on the phone!

Actually, some quality research done in the Netherlands shows a significant increase in brain tumors in people who used cell phones for extended times, multiple times, over long periods of time.
Interestingly, this risk did not extend to phone users who made use of "hands-free" units or other products which keep the actual telephone away from the users head.
Although the research found a significant increase in the incidence of particular brain tumors amongst these people, the number still represents a small fraction of the cell phone users.
All the same, if you are planning on spending a lot of time over the course of your life on a cell phone, you might consider investing in a hands-free device that keeps the phone off your ear.

depending on the phone.... if its a cell phone, and you drop it to many times, you might get cancer but normal phones have no way of passing cancer. Cell phones might because, as we all know, cell phones transfer waves that might harm the body, like the microwave can do if you stay to many times and to long in front of it but the possibilities are very small but it may happen.

If anything it would be from a Cell Phone. Not a home phone, but if it did come from a home phone (which is really really really really really really really unlikely) it would be a cordless phone. The cancer would come from the radiation the cell phone puts out, which is coming from the speaker and the antenna. and would cause brain tumors and that sort of cancer, but hasn't really been fully proofen...there have been tests that has proofed it and tests that havent.

i have never heard of anyone getting cancer by talking on the phone, cell phone or any other kind of phone...i think a lot of caner is inherited and some is cause some of the things we have done in our life.. like smoking.. but i have heard of people getting lung cancer that never ever smoked too..but i believe our lifestyle sometimes puts us in more risk for cancer.. and i do think sometimes it is in our genes and brought down through the generations in the family line...chewing tobacco can cause throat cancer...taking vitamins and trying to eat right and healthy foods should help.. i never knew until a year ago that i have renal kidney insufficiency...doctors have been giving be medice all along and i do not know what it is for.. and i try to take it and it was proven to be hard on my kidneys.. i was drinking a lot the month before i entered the hospital and i do i was weak and needed to sleep...but i tried to keep going ...my dad passed away and i was not myslef and i took to many morphine pills and i overdozed.. i tend to forget at times, how much i was taking.. i also was hurting so bad ver my dads death and the man i was staying with drank a lot and he came home from the bar mad cause i was not there.. i wa home in bed sick, anyway he woke be up and slammed my head against the wall and i already have enough damage to my head from a former husband karate kicking me and giving me damage.. also his sister beat my head against a cement walk, so i am really afraid to do to much cause i do not want any more damage done to me.. i have been real ill sice this last episode and i have really turned my life around..i do not trust people very much anymoe either.. you think they are your friend and they get drunk ands go crazy...i was only staying there as friends and i paid my part of the rent but i could not summit to this guy..i think that is the whole deal.. the one i cared about was not a really good guy either i found out..he liked to have his flings with different women, and i do not go for that at all. and you do not know what you might get form any of these so called friends and you never know who they have been with and then you after worry about catching the different diseases that are out there in this world today.. i have read people have died of aids and did not even know they had aids....so be very carefull

I read in a health article that you can get a tumor by your ear if you talk on a cell phone every day for prolonged periods of time.

Though studies have shown that there's radiation, there isn't enough to cause cancer...or cancer isn't caused that way or something. I'm not sure which it is but the answer is definitely no.
