epilepsy it is not, that represents itself as a non-bodily action problem. You said he was up, and pulling things off the dresser. But he basically couldn't hear you nor recognize you or our son. this was more a REM activity. Like the other person said, he sleepwalked. But something triggered it. get him to see your family doctor so he/she can refer your husband to a neurologist.

I have episodes such as this one on a regular basis. I once tried to rip off a mirror from our bedroom dresser and my worse episode was that I was on a hunting trip and woke up, grabbed my shotgun, busted the door open from the cabin and fired a shot outside. This snapped me out of my episode and let me tell you, I was quite confused as to what had just happened.

had your husband been drinking? If not I would say that he was sleep walking. It is actually more common than most people think. If this continues I would suggest that you take your husband to a sleep clinic where they can monitor him while he is asleep and give you a diagnostic to what is happening and help to treat it. Good luck with your situation.

It sounds like he was walking in his sleep. Most of the time the person will wake up when you talk to them, but not always. My family has a history of sleepwalking and talking in there sleep. It can be a little creepy...:)

Sounds to me like he was sleepwalking and acting out his dream that he was engrossed in! If it happens again I would take him to the doctor.I had a friend that peed on the bed in his sleep standing up thought he was in the bathroom.

Sounds like he was sleep walking. You might want to have him visit a doctor who specializes in sleep disorders.

Don't worry. He was asleep--my ex used to carry on conversations in his sleep, and my kids have all walked and talked in their sleep. No biggie...
