nice philosophical question - the answer is the same as:
which came first: human being OR spermatozoide??
so it's all a question of talking for hours like policians and never answering the real problematic!

For chicken and egg, scientists had concluded that it would be the egg.
So if the same logic of nature is followed, it is likely that a plant comes from a seed.

I think a seed-but is the whole who came first the chicken or the egg question to which i always say the rooster did

plants are "born" from seeds and seeds are made by adult plants.
it's like what came first, the chicken or the egg.
