Stay away from them. Make other friends. Live your life with virtue. If they are joking about you - no one would believe them if you are living a good life.

If you don't know what's being said, ignore it. Honestly. But! If you don't mind opening a can of worms, you could just walk up and ask them what is so hilarious about making fun of other people? If you'd like to be all out vicious, and turn the tables on them, you could say the following:
(ahem.)
"What's that Jane? You say that our co-worker Connie has fake boobs? How rude. And how, pray tell, do you know this for certain? Honestly, darling, if you like her boobs that much, ask her on a date, and come out of the closet already! And Sue? That comment you made about Dan being gay? You have no proof of that and I think it's positively vicious that you would make a statement like that. And so what if he is! It would utterly SAVE him from dating a woman such as yourself. And truly, ladies, you should watch what you say. People can hear you. (Smile enormously!) After all, just because the entire office thinks that you, Jane, have a rear end comparable to a used tire, and you Sue, have coffee breath that could stop a truck, you don't hear me snickering about it behind your backs. But now that you know, keep in mind that you are far from perfect, and have numerous faults of your own! Have a fabulous day, girls!"
Two can play that game. Or not. It's up to you. *wink*

I would just keep it to myself, and worry about myself. If you give them reason to, they will involve you in their little antics. Don't be a target and ignore them. What good is it going to do to bring it into the light? Hurt the ones that are being talked about (with proof that could do a lot of damage) and make enemies for yourself. Don't stoop to their level, be a bigger person. We will all answer for our deeds at some point in our lives.

That's a tricky one if you don't really know what they are saying. It is rude, however, when a person is with a group of people to make comments that are sotto voce, and can't be heard by everyone.
I wouldn't confront them until you actually know what they are saying.

small minded people make small minded jokes. Just blow them off and dont sweat it. but, if they do something stupid you have to bust out laughing and pointing at them.

Why confront them if you don't know what they're saying? And why is it your business?

could be they're just telling dirty jokes. Unless you're really
paranoid, it's none of your business anyway.
