Have been read numerous times and have never had them right, even though friends swear that the reader is legit. Could have to do with the fact that I'm straight faced and don't let the read into me from reactions. Quite frankly, it's bogus.

I find Tarot cards useful as a way of looking at possibilities in different ways. Sometimes trying to fit a question into the framework developed by laying out Tarot cards can help you come up with ideas that otherwise would not have occurred to you.
I don't believe that Tarot cards are inherently "magical". However, someone with some sort of gift for foreseeing the future might be able to use them as a tool to help them get in touch with their gift.
I think that using them might help you think through possible situations and get a better idea of what might happen in the future. They are a system that is complex and flexible enough that trying to read them will force you to contemplate things a bit more deeply. The same is true of most other methods of augury.

Whether or not tarot cards work depends on the skill and natural talent of the reader. They are meant to be more of a conduit for a person's psychic ability.
The cards themselves will not tell anything. The reader must be in tune with their own sense and be able to interpret the signals that they have sent through the cards. It takes practice to do it well.
They are also not something that will tell you something written in stone. They are more for advice rather than for "telling the future". The cards help you to see and interpret what is already here and where the path that person is on will take them. In knowing the path, a person may change their course.
I use to read tarot cards quite frequently and got really good with it. But let it fall to the wayside. I found that too many people come to rely on the cards as something to decide their life rather than as a suggested path for their life. It got to be a bit scary.

Yes. Tarot cards are tools which tap a spiritual source. Even if the use of them gives you a good answer, it comes from a very negative source.
I do not recommend using tarot cards, ouiji boards, numerology, handwriting analysis (unless professionally for leagal use - not for personal play), hypnotism, divining rods, astrology, palm reading, fortune telling of any kind, calling up of spirits (through any means), or any other of the many sources of energy that comes from the ruler of darkness.
God says to stay away from such things, because they are not of Him. This does not mean they do not work, it means we have no need to dble in such dark places.

I read the Tarot all the time. And yes, everything I see in them turns out true, good AND bad.

I have owned about 4-6 sets, they were pretty accurate if you know what you are doing. #1 rule of Tarot is they cannot be used to read yourself... just doesn't work. I did a reading for my neighbor about his divorce and the cards told me something we thought HAD to be wrong. It showed that is wife would fight for custody, but ONLY of one of their children, the male child, but in the end after major heartache justice would prevail.
We both brushed if off because it seemed totally far fetched. She showed no attention/preference to either child. The day of court came, and sure enough, she ONLY wanted the one child, their son... not their daughter. She ended up kidnapping both children and drug out the divorce to the point that our friend was bankrupt. In the end her stunt cost her custody, the husband ended up with both kids.

I've owned dozens of decks over the years, and have about two dozen on hand currently. I read tarot professionally, and I've done that for years now. I see both "good" and "bad", and my accuracy rate is around 80%. Which I'm told, for psychic ability, is excellent. You can take that for what its worth, but I've been there and done that ... So ... I kinda know from first hand experience. ;-) ~ Peace & Blessings ~

I do, several times, not always things happens as fast as they might say or they could not happen at all. Its about FAITH if you want something to come true just think about it.
The important thing is that whatever they say... may come true, but don´t let them be the ones to rule your life.
