ohhhhhh...I just LOVE pugs! My vet recommended a good brushing daily and to add one capsule of Omega 3 in their food with every feeding. (It comes in a fish oil,so they love it,anyway!) I noticed a HUGE difference after just a week. I use it routinely, now. In fact, one of mine likes hers "straight"! just take a pin to poke a hole in the gelatin capsule, and I squirt it into her mouth. It`s hilarious to watch, lol. Oh! One MORE thing. Pugs are very smart...(I`m sure you know that) Keep the capsules where they can`t reach them...I came home one day and they had bitten through the plastic bottle to munch out on the capsules. ( I called the vet...she laughed, and said no harm done)
Good luck...enjoy your pug! From my heart to yours......!! : )

Pugs have fur, not hair... so they r always going to shead. Other dogs like malteses don't shead. Because they have real hair.

Its what you are feeding your dog. Has nothing to do with shampoo's, creams nor bathing. Put your dog on a good high quality dog food. No sugar, salt, wheat, corn or bi-products. Also there is a Fatty acid oil you can put on your dogs dry food called
Dr. Maggie. Fatty 6, 3 omega oils. Also brushing regularly will help

A bad diet can make pets shed more. Ask your vet if this is the factor. Also, brushing gets rid of the loose furs.

well, when you comb your dog it picks up the layer of fur that the dog is shedding, so I recommend combing often with a wire comb.
