As a professional photographer for many years, and an occasional seller on Ebay, you need a very simple and low megapixel camera to deliver photos of good quality.
The answer also depends upon the items sold..(size, whether u need to show great detail as a selling tool, etc.
You need not buy above 4 mpegixels, but u should concentrate on choosing a digital with a lens capable of doing close-distance pictures (macro).
With little difficulty, quality pictures will be gotten from a camera even below 3 megapixels.

i cant tell you how well it works, but i know it has that feature
i plan on getting this camera soon, but not for that feature
