Tell Mom that you're sorry she is feeling so sad.... Ask if there's anything you can do to help or comfort her. Ask if she would like to talk about it...... You are not an idiot - few of us know what to say or do when someone we love is crying and emotional. Hope mom feels better - good luck!

Ask your mom. When I'm upset, sometimes I would like someone to help and other times I want to be left alone.

Ask your Mom if she wants a hug or wants to be left alone. Either way she will know that you are concerned about her and will feel a bit better.

i dont think your an idiot like you said your not one to ask questions but at least give your mom a chance shes a grown woman and crying something must be wrong maybe no speaking and a simple little hug words might not be the answer in this case try it who knows..................

You're such an idiot because you are like me. And because you don't try to think alittle harder and ask your mom something or try to help her. Even if you don't have anything to say.. just repeat what you see EXAMPLE She cries YOU say "why are you crying?"

let her be.. but once she has calmed down.. bring her out for a movie or sumthing and be really nice to her.. so she'll know that at the end of the day.. its not that bad afterall cause she has you.. you dont even have to talk abt why she cried and all.. i guess most people would rather have someone to be there to cheer them up when they are upset, then have someone who just starts giving solutions..

How about just giving her a hug and ask is there anything you can do or something like that

sometimes all you need to do is go and give her a hug and ask her if she wants to talk about what is bothering her, and if she says yes, just listen, if she says no, then just let her know you are there if she decides she wants to later, that is all you can really do! good luck.

Get up and say to her.....

"Mom, I'm not good at this... but.... I heard you crying and I want to be sure that you are OK. ....... can you please tell me what's wrong?

Let's go somewhere and get some coffee or some ice cream and talk..... or walk.

If you need to be alone, that's cool...........I'm here."

Something like that........just speak from the heart.

Just give her a hug and ask her what's wrong and that you are concerned about her. You obviously are or you wouldnt be asking this question.

Just got to her and say mom what is wrong?
Then say do you want to talk about it?
I'm not good at that either....
Good Luck
