Good question. I am continually surprised at the loss of intelluctual people these days. It seems a good education and learning has gone down the drain. I don't know if it's the pupils or the system itself. Grammer has gone to the dogs. Kids these days don't even understand the difference between 'its' and 'it's'.

Some people shortcut words when writing online as a matter of less typing. Others may come from different countries and don't know the proper punctuation or spelling.

If we understand what's being asked, we should respond kindly. I wouldn't know how to answer questions in Spanish, Arabic or any other language but if that is what's being offered, I'd try to learn........maybe that's what some are attempting to do.

because most of the ones that are doing it are young kids, that never learned how to write or spell in school, what is going on with education these days, heck I saw kids that graduated from high school, applying for a job, at where I used to work, and I did all the hiring, and heck 70% of them couldn't even spell thier name right, what does that tell you

I have noticed this as well and find it to be somewhat annoying. I take this service seriously and enjoy sharing intelligent opinions and found responses to be rather helpful.

I have found email communications in general to be equally askew and rather trite.

You just keep up your good work and set a standard... maybe others will get a clue and clean up their "public appearance" also.

I have often wondered the exact same thing myself. If people are going to read and understand your question, it has to be written and expressed correctly. Some people, when I start to read their question, I get to about the third line, and quit. I refuse to read jibberish.

Maybe cos the meaning is more important than 'correct' syntax?

......I would imagine people are wanting answers, not an exam on their written questions

why should it matter?...as long as everyone can understand it, and you get the answers you are seeking, a few shortcuts or slang words should not offend anyone....strictly my opinion:-)
