I installed it over XP on my laptop, now I just want XP back but don't know how. I don't have a windows XP disc (the OS came with the laptop). Help please!!!!

I think Vista is like the bar tramp I brought home last month. Once she gets her hooks in ya, the only way to get away from it is to move. Or in others words, you will have to start over with a clean install. Vista just moves right in and wants to live there forever.

Check to see if your laptop has a restore partition (most HPs do) or came with restore CDs. Otherwise borrow someones XP disk and use the cd key on the bottom of your computer.

Maybe windows vista update is listed in "Add or remove programs" from control panel, if you see windows vista in remove programs list, just remove it, and if not listed, only way to install new windows, sorry.

Actually it said in the disclaimer that you may not be able to switch back to a previouse version of windows with out formatting the hard drive. so you need to format the hard drive.
