There are cultural opinions everywhere. Don't think they talk about every aspect of life. They only talk of spiritual development. The budhist lamas are celibate monks so sexuality does not matter. It is about shunning materialism.
Don't think a queer would fit in anywhere they are about fashion, partying etc which is materialistic.

i myself heard the Dalai Lama say that it particularly is incorrect. Now, the Dalai Lama is a buddha, yet it particularly is the only point out I even have ever heard of homosexuality in Buddhism. some say that it would desire to be that a cultural custom of homophobia purely sort of glommed onto the religion. I on no account learn the Gatauma Buddha asserting something approximately it. i'm no longer a buddhist, yet i became raised buddhist.

I'm Buddhist but I don't usually think about homosexuality from that standpoint. Personally, it's none of my business what others do in their bedroom.
Sex outside of marriage is considered to be not a good idea for specific reasons, not just 'because it is a sin'. I do not intend to discuss the reasons here but if you wish to know more, email me

They accept it. They don't judge people like that. Buddhism is a philosophy for being at peace in life. To be present and live to the fullest.
Religions like Christianity use god to put fear into people. If a person tells you being gay is wrong you wouldn't care so much. So what they do is they put those words in the mouth of god so you'll believe it's wrong. They write a book (the Bible) and convince everyone that what it says about god is true so you'll then live your life the way they think it should be lived.
Don't ever fall for that crap. No human being on this earth has (or ever had) the slightest clue what god likes or dislikes. We can't even be 100% sure he exists. But if he does; do you honestly think he'd be so much like us? If we were to believe what the Bible says then we should still keep slaves. In the Bible Jesus clearly states it's ok to have slaves. Does that sound like God to you or what people thought was right back then?

I'm Buddhist-Hindu, in part. I believe, at death, a person passes over to be another person (born again). That a Homosexual merely has retained memory of being the opposite sex in a past life. I feel, a homosexual is merely a "victim" of having been killed suddenly (via war, crime, car accident...) and died suddenly -- such that he "broke ties" with death (that is, the death/life "division" is vague, blurry, or not strong).

No religion worth the name accepts homosexuality. Sex, and urge for it, have been ingrained in human nature to go natural, that is to procreate. If it were not for it, human species would have got lost after the first generation.

Many Buddhists believe that sexual orientation is beyond a person's control, as are race and gender. They feel that gays and lesbians should have the same civil rights and benefits as do all other persons.

In Buddhism the concern is not for gender or sexual orientation, but for "right action".
Right action is...among many other things...to embody detachment from prejudice and condemnation.
Being gay is neither right nor wrong.
It just is.

As far as I know, Buddhism is extremely open-minded. Their sexual laws are about not going overboard (paedophilia, bestiality, etc). The rest is to each's liking.
Same for Satanism.
