Question

I 've been having this question in my mind for a while and I'd like an answer from somebody who is muslin....

why is it that seems like muslim people have to kill people?
I mean like Bin Laden and other terrorists, they claim to do it on the name of thei gods, I just don't understand how some god can find pleasure on something like that.

I don't mean to offend anybody, so, please this is a serious question, so I hope it gets answer the same way.

please do not judge islam based on what bin laden does. islam in no way condones murder! the terrorists are crazy!just think, the KKK justifies their actions with christianity,yet we don't judge christianity by their actions. the same should not be done to islem. god does not find pleasure in the taking of innocent lives. please keep an open mind.

I think the other answerer is right. Muslin is a fabric. you meant to say muslim right? Do you really want a serious answer to this? If we start thinking seriously and acting seriously, a lot of people are either going to get the death sentence or be in prison for life. But that is what we dont take seriously. no one takes it seriously. Killing is a game and stealing and raping a part of life for a lot of people who say god tell them to do it. Do we be serious? No. We all turn our back and carry on with our lives as nothing happened. It is serious but can you really handle the serious answer. And then what?

Didn't the Christians do the first act of hate with the Crusades back in the...12? Hundreds, where the slaughtered many an atheist, Muslim and other people all in the name of god?

Timothy McVeigh, KKK, Bush and Milosevic, who killed millions of Muslims in Bosnia, were Christian too, well, hello??? Are they Christian Terrorists?

Americans always see Muslims as base on Osama, Palestinians, Zerqawi etc.

Read your Bible a little more closely. It preaches more violence than the Quran. Jews would kill you for gathering wood on the Sabbath, for Christ's sake.

The Bible has been embraced much more deeply to promote genocide, slavery, destruction of whole cities, persecution of other religions, etc. I don't mean IN the Bible, either. I mean right up to today.

If these attitudes and actions are not addressed to YOU, then, perhaps your question is not addressed to Muslims. It is addressed to fanatics. Period. They just happen to be Muslim, like Timothy McVeigh just happened to be Christian. Or David Koresh, or the KKK, or Jim Jones, or the Spanish Conquistadors, or the Inquisitors. Do you identify with them, as a Christian?

Muslim fanatics misinterpret their holy book just as fanatics of every other religion have. Try reading the Quran and see if Bin Laden is following his religion or using his religion.

Muslims only have 1 god, and it's the same one that you have. Just a different name.

Osama Bin Laden and his crew are a small minority withinn the religion. Unlike the crusades, in which all of christianity was involved. Same gos, maybe he's vindictive and likes to watch killing and suffering

Actually, you're answering yourself in your text "Bin Laden and other terrorists"... Terrorists, can be from any country, any race, any religion!..

And, Bin Laden and many other, want also some other things, but you never hear that. For example, "suicide bombers" generally also "fight"(!) for their countries' freedom! Or, they want to take revenge etc.!.. But, because of they're Muslim, they also say what their religion orders about this topic(they know the true orders of their religion, or they don't know. That's not my point!) For example, they know they'll die!.. But, they think what they do is right, and so they think they'll go to heaven. Of course, then, they talk about the heaven belief their religion tells... And, if they're Muslim, they tell things from Islam! If, they'd be Christian, maybe they'd say "May Jesus saves all of you!" instead of "May Allah help us!".

Let me give you an example; think of a religious Christian psycho, saying what he/she is doing is right and for a better world, and he/she is doing it because(that's what he understood) he/she is doing what Christianity orders!.. Isn't it possible?.. I can give you many real examples of that!..

But, you know, at last, he/she is just a psycho/criminal/terrorist!..


And I also want to add again, only 1/5 of terrorists in the world are Muslims. The other 4/5 are from any other religions/beliefs!

Answer to Sweetthang(I guess, it's not possible to send you a private message, I hope you'll see!): I just wanted to say, you use some terms from your religion in your daily life. And, when you see, after telling all of his "thoughts about invaders", someone is saying to the camera "May Allah help us!", it doesn't mean he does all the thing for it's related to his belief. Muslims say it also, when they do their daily job! Or, when their company will sign a risky agreement! Etc.... The example of Jesus was, like this.

I'm really surprised, that you haven't heard psychos generally thinks, FBI, CIA, Mossad, KGB(I don't know its new name) are following them, or they begin to think they're the messenger on this world. So, they can do something horrible in the name of their beliefs!

I understand your question and I am not offended. See it this way. When the IRA were bombing cities, did the Christains get blamed and seen as terroists?

The media is a powerful tool but their job is to get a lot of readers, a number game, so as with the tabloids. They like to play with words. For example, they use, "Jihadi's," and then say, "we don't mean the other Muslims." But why don't thy just say terroists but they don't.

They use the word Al QEDA and then add, "Muslim terroists." Hence, now Muslims are labelled and so is Islam. But when IRA did many bombings, killings, the media never said, "IRA Christains." They said, "IRA."

Read about the life of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Seerah means Life. So you will find titles like "The Seerah of prophet Muhamad (peace be upon him).

Go to the source not news, not anyone but go, with open mind to study Islam. I am not saying so to revert you to Islam but see the truth how Islam is. Don't take examples of people today. Take his example and man, when you read his life.

Just checking some of the answers. I'm not so sure that I agree with all of them. I can't remember anybody saying "I'm going to do this because Jesus said so" I do agree that there were horrible things done to people because of race and religion , I may be mistaken but don't remember it being because of Jesus and a promise to get worldly pleasures for doing it.

The correct spelling is 'Muslim'.

It seems to me you are unaware of the proportion of Muslims in the world. It's not even 1% of them that are terrorists. Your assumptions are ignorant and unjust.
