Is the Marine infantry squad still broken down into "fire teams". It was when I was in and was archaic even then as it was based on the browning automatic rifle of wwII. If not can someone tell me what now makes up a marine infantry squad...what the members are called and how they are typically armed?

Wow, I was in during the 70s, and we still had "fire teams", of three men.

One for the 50 caliber, one for the ammo, and one for the silly thing to hold it up with and I be a rascal, I cant remembe what its even called these days...sheesh!

And I was in a Communications Battallion, so, I wasnt officially with the "Grunts", just supplied them with the means to "reach out and touch some one" :)

I wish you well..
