Looking to make a kennle floor for my dogs. They have a 40 x 20 foot privacey fence next to the house. Any ideas on what would work good for a flooring, such as cold pacth, concrete, or lime.

half of the run should be concrete, the other half should be dirt. if you have it all in concrete your dogs feet will become flat with splayed toes. Lime will burn the pads.

Concrete is more permanet than the other things and is easy to hose off. You'll still need some soft beding so that they don't get raw elbows. Laying on cold concrete is not good for the joints either.

Usually pea gravel. Does depend some on the breed.

Do not use wood. It cannot be cleaned. If you god forbid had a coccidia or whipworm problem, it could not be cleaned well enough.
Wood also holds in odors. Concerte is OK, but for many large or giant breeds, it is hard on the joints.

Concrete because it is easily cleaned with a hose.

thick rubber matts like 2". and movers quilts . only the cotton ones. lasts forever , washable, and compfy. get the matts at a staples store.
